Another fun photo shoot at Belle Haven for the new publication” Celebrating Everyday Life with Jennifer Carroll“. Florals are by Southern Blooms, with Pat and Sherry’s discerning eye for detail and a perfectly arranged table! Beautiful images that capture the romance, are by our favorite photographer Jen Fariello. And the perfect location for it all is our own beloved Belle Haven!

Providing a location for weddings, events and photo shoots is like having the circus come to Belle Haven for a command performance. A little bit of magic happens each time. There is no telling what transformation may take place. Out of the box appears a vision that has been nesting in the imagination of some special creative spirit. It takes no imagination to comprehend the time and attention that each project takes, or the stamina, and physical reality of constructing and breaking down the set! But for a moment we are transported – in a dream – a beautifully realized fantasy, and then poof! It’s all bundled back into the box and we are almost as we were. Almost-because each time, a little of the magic lingers here. That’s why visitors to Belle Haven use words like “enchantment” and “magical”.

I’ve seen a sign!

Since launching Belle Haven as a  venue for Weddings and Special Events in July it’s been a mad, wonderful whirlwind. Woooooooo!  The first indication of what was to come was  Jen Fariello & Robert Radifera’s Photo Learning Workshop “Wonder”. Jen’s fabulous images have since been published in the “Style Me Pretty” wedding blog. Amazing. How about that!

There hasn’t been a day since, when I haven’t wondered how I could possibly have a better job! With three weddings, three lovely Belle Haven Brides, and all the joy that flows on such special days, Belle Haven is off to a great start. I do Love Being In the Business of Love!

Nothing happens in a vacuum however.  Charlottesville’s wedding professionals are THE reason that Albemarle County and Charlottesville rank so highly on a national scale as a wedding destination. I’ve been encouraged and supported so generously by extraordinary individuals all performing to such an incredibly high standard, that it makes becoming a part of this community a real privilege. I have so much respect and admiration and love for all of you!

The Pros!

I’m still learning the in’s and out’s of this business, but I’m learning fast. I so enjoy the conversations I have with newly engaged couples and the opportunity of introducing them to Belle Haven: a “Country House” Venue. The visions I hear of their “perfect day” are inspiring and I have such confidence referring them to the “experts”!

Even as Belle Haven opens it’s doors and wins the hearts of others, all the parts that are “BASIC JOY”, especially Reiki, Flowers, etc. remain my constants and indeed have led me here. How about that?
